Contributor Bio:  Smith, Cathy Cathy Smith is a fiber artist who learned to crochet and knit as a child. She later became skilled in many crafts, such as jewelry making, embroidery, plastic canvas, and more. During college, Cathy discovered another creative outlet when she took classes in drawing and painting. She later sharpened her artistic skills through training with Art Instruction Schools. Cathy's art training came in handy when she began designing crochet patterns, and her desire to stretch her creativity and do more with crochet led to crocheting vehicles that move.
