Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man with a Simple Command Michael Dow

Have you ever heard someone tell you they forgive you? What about someone telling you all of your sins from all of your life committed against everyone including God have been forgiven? That is what happened to a paralyzed man that was brought to Jesus. Some religious leaders thought Jesus was disrespecting God and wanted him punished. Jesus was upset that they would entertain evil thoughts like that toward him. He said that it is easy to say someone's sins are forgiven, but not easy to tell a paralyzed person to stand up. He said in order to prove that he had authority to forgive sins, he would heal the paralyzed man so that is what he did. The crowd became afraid and then started praising Jesus' God that gave him such authority and power. Jesus has the ability to pardon your sins since he became a sin offering at his death. After his resurrection, he lives to give power through his Holy Spirit to help people experience the forgiveness of God as well as healing.
