Matthew Roark and Stephanie Wilde are on a journey. A journey in which the line between fiction and reality will become blurred.

Stephanie, a world-famous novelist, is slipping away due to Alzheimer's, and Matthew, her husband, will do anything he can to maintain a connection with her. In the pages of a novel the two have spent a lifetime writing together, Matthew finds something they both can cling to: a story about a young man and a young woman who discover the underground empire of Atlantis and who, subsequently, must fight to save their world.

But as Matthew and Stephanie slip deeper and deeper into this fictional realm, the real world may no longer be a place they want to return to.
