Measurement and Correlates of Positive Mental Health: an Exploration Among Young People Nima Ganga

Achutha Menon Centre Positive Mental Health Scale (AMCPMHS) was developed and used to study positive mental health (PMH) among young people in a part of India. It revealed lower PMH among females even after controlling for other variables; the correlates of positive mental health differentially influence the mental health of young men and women. Path analysis shows the conditions that contribute to the low PMH score of young people. The next phase of the study identified areas for possible effective policy interventions for promoting mental health in young people. A multi-method study. References: 1. Ganga NS & Kutty VR.
