Amber Rubarth
American singer-songwriter and actress Amber Rubarth was born in California. She graduated from high school at the age of 17 and moved to Carson City, Nevada, to complete an apprenticeship in a wood sculpture studio. After three years, she dropped out to focus on music full-time. She taught herself to play guitar and started performing at local open mic nights and cafés. Her extraordinary talent quickly got her noticed: renowned producer Phil Ramone described her style in The Huffington Post as “part of the new old soul generation.” In addition to her solo career, Rubarth is co-founder of the Brooklyn-based indie band The Paper Raincoat and the British harmony trio Applewood Road, which The Telegraph named one of the best albums of 2016.
