Released via ANTI, Death Cab For Cutie's new album "I Built You A Tower" marks their first album outside the major-label system in over two decades.

Written and recorded in a concentrated burst of sessions with producer John Congleton, primarily at his Animal Rites studio in Los Angeles alongside additional home recordings, the album captures a band working with renewed immediacy and clarity. At its heart, "I Built You A Tower" explores themes of emotional compartmentalization, grief, and resilience. Frontman Ben Gibbard has described the album’s central metaphor - the “tower” - as a way of containing loss and trauma, while acknowledging how those buried emotions inevitably resurface.
